  Wild Horse

The wild horses dates back to a very old times and have now become quite extinct in the 19 th century.

They are mostly found in different parts of Asia. There are other breeds of wild horses found all over the world but the true species is called the Mustang which could never be trained. In eastern Europe and also in some parts of asia we could also find the Przewalski's Horse which was called and known as the Mongolian horse because of its high built and a big hairy mane.

The differences arises between the wild horses of Przewalski breed and other domesticated horses in the form of their chromosomes. A wild horse may have only 64 choromosomes compared to the domesticated horse which had 66 chromosomes. Another breed known as the feral horses in the Northern America has known to be domesticated but such theory is not theory as they go back to their ancestors who were known to be fierce and really wild. Such horses could swim and were faster to ride but since they were not tamed they became a threat to valuable human lives. In 2003 , the International Commission of Zoology considered the use of such feral species and therefore ordered that such wild species of horses be preserved and kept in zoor so as to eliminate the risk of extinction of such breeds which although dangerous is an important species of the horses family.

Based on the count taken in 2005 only about 1500 of the wild horses from the przewalski breed exist in the world. Apart from zoos to preserve these animals they are let go free in their natural habitat so as to encourage reproduction of the animals. The wild horses are and still considered one of the fastest horses and thus were used as part of wood hunting in the olden days, a trade still considered a sport by many.
